Oil Sweet OS-1000 has been shown to reduce chemical injection rates by 10%-15% compared to triazine and some non-amine scavengers.  Ultimately, this saves operators money by reducing chemical consumption, storage, and transportation costs.

Due to its fast reaction kinetics Oil Sweet OS-1000 & OS-1002 doesn’t require extensive contact time to work. Adequate mixing into the crude oil is all that is required. Osprey SG can provide information on best application practices such as the use of inline static mixers to facilitate treatment reaction.
As an added benefit, select mercaptans and total sulfurs may be removed by Oil Sweet OS-1000 & OS-1002, however it may require longer contact time for removal, unlike H2S, which is removed rapidly. Field tests may be conducted to evaluate the efficiency of mercaptan removal and specific recommendations made based on that data.

Oil Sweet OS1000 & OS-1002 is capable of controlling solids formation and deposition, thus reducing and eliminating the need for acid or solvent clean out operations.
The spent by-product of the reaction of triazine with sulfide always results in the formation of dithiazine which is a solid that is more dense than water and most likely unless significantly turbulent, most solids will precipitate out and will then need to be physically removed and trucked out.
